The Lion King Pt. 2: Dominion & Boundaries

26 Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Genesis 1:26
The Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and keep it. 16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, “You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, 17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die.” Genesis 2:15-17

Not to much later than after the creation of man, did God follow that crowing creation with conditions to help it live a life that one would considered blessed.   I mean think about it, you have been given authority over all the rest of living creation, placed in a garden that has all that you need and you are charged to tend it too.  So you've been given a place, power, and a purpose.   Similar to this is one of the early scenes in the movie the Lion King, where while Simba is still a young cub, his Father, Mufasa has taken him up to a cliff to show him all that falls under his authority, with the caveat that there is a place that he is forbidden to go, not for any other reason than his safety.  Well you know how the story goes similar to how Adam's story how we had to push, challenge, and cross the limits.

Of course Satan has his role to play to with attempting to entice us, and this is where we have  recognize that beit the scriptures, the Lion King, or life that his ultimate goal is to draw us away from the ALL that GOD has provided us, to focus on the ONE thing (that can be porn, adultery, drugs, alcohol, one more pull of the lever on the slots, lying on taxes, etc.) that we don't, can't or shouldn't have and turn our hearts and steps toward that.
Recognize that where it is that GOD has you is where you are supposed to be...again He's provided you with a place, a purpsoe, and power there.  Where Satan is attempting to draw you to, is a place of weakness, despair, and end to your purpose (death).  In today's pop-culture and hip or slick talk some would say...."Stay in Your Lane" or we might have said "mind your business"....but whatever it all amounts to committing your life to where it is GOD has placed and provided for you the essentials of living and having an abundant fulfilling life, and please don't ignore the boundaries He has set up to ensure that life He's offering.  LGLP
